Step 1: Open Your Storydoc

Before beginning, ensure you are using a compatible device. For the best editing experience, use a desktop or laptop computer with a minimum screen width of 1200px. Mobile devices or tablets are not currently supported for creating or editing presentations.

From your dashboard, click on the Storydoc you want to edit. This will open the editor, where you’ll see your presentation as a scrollable series of slides.

Step 2: Click to Edit Content

Every part of the Storydoc is editable in place. Simply:

  • Click on any text box to rewrite or paste new content

  • Click on images or videos to replace them with your own

  • Click on charts, icons, or buttons to adjust labels, colors, or links

Changes are saved automatically as you work.

Step 3: Rearrange or Remove Slides

  • To move a slide, drag it up or down using the side panel or slide navigator

  • To remove a slide, click "delete" or choose this option from the 3-dots menu\

  • To duplicate a slide, click the duplicate icon for that section

This gives you full control over the structure of your story.

Step 4: Add New Slides or Layouts

Click “+ Add Slide” to insert a new section. You can:

  • Choose from Templates (for use cases like “About Us”, “Timeline”, “Competitors”)

  • Use Layouts like “Tabs”, “Narrator”, “Side-by-Side” for content structure

  • Or select “Add with AI” to generate slide content automatically based on a prompt

Step 5: Adjust the Design

To match your brand, click on the “Design” button (palette icon). From here, you can:

  • Change fonts, colors, button styles, and overlays

  • Save or import brand themes to apply across the story

Design settings update globally, but you can still tweak individual slides manually if needed.

Step 6: Add Interactivity (Optional)

Storydoc allows for rich, interactive elements like:

  • Animated highlights

  • Clickable tabs and buttons

  • Anchor links (jumplinks) between sections

  • Live charts and embedded forms

These can be added directly using the editor’s component tools.

Step 7: Preview & Share

Click Preview to see how your Storydoc looks to viewers.
When ready, hit Share to make the story live. You’ll get a shareable link you can send immediately.

💡 Tip
Don’t worry about getting everything perfect from the start. You can publish updates at any time—your live link will always reflect the latest version.
