Step 1: Create the Anchor

First, go to the section or element you want to link to.

  • Click on the element (or the entire slide)

  • In the top panel, toggle on “Anchor”

  • Give the anchor a clear name (e.g., last-slide, pricing-section, etc.)

You can anchor almost any element—text blocks, images, containers, or slides.

Step 2: Set the Link on a Clickable Element

Next, go to the element that will serve as the clickable link (like a button, image, or text).

  • Click on the element and select “Link”

  • Choose “Anchor”

  • Select the anchor name you just created from the list

Once selected, the link is active.

Step 3: Preview the Interaction

Click Preview to test the jump.
When your viewer clicks the linked element, the page will scroll to the anchored section.

Use Cases

  • Scroll a button to the contact slide

  • Link a word in a paragraph to a chart or feature below

  • Build a table of contents at the top of your Storydoc

Tip
You can set up multiple anchors across your story and link to them from different elements. It’s a great way to make long presentations feel lighter and more interactive.
