Setting up your Storydoc profile allows you to personalize stories at scale by using your details as dynamic variables. Complete your profile information so it can automatically populate in all your documents and presentations.
Access Your Profile Settings
In the top right corner of your Storydoc dashboard, click on your name to open the profile dropdown menu.
Select My Settings from the dropdown menu to access your profile options.
Complete Your Profile Information
Once you're in the profile settings, you'll see the My profile section where you can add and edit your personal information.
Fill out the following fields:
Profile picture: Upload a clear, professional headshot using the upload button next to your current photo
Name: Enter your full name as you want it to appear in stories
Role: Add your job title or position
Department: Specify which department or team you're part of
Website: Include your company or personal website URL
Email: Your email address (this may be pre-filled)
Calendar link: Paste your booking URL from Calendly, HubSpot, or other scheduling tools
Phone number: Add your contact number
Signature: Upload a signature image if needed
Using Profile Information as Dynamic Variables
All the information you enter in your profile can be used as dynamic variables throughout your Storydoc stories. This means when you create personalized versions of your presentations, your contact details, photo, and booking link will automatically populate without manual editing.
Your profile information will be available as variables that can be inserted into any story element, making it easy to maintain consistency across all your documents while personalizing them for different recipients.
