What happens when a link expires
The link becomes inaccessible to viewers on the expiry date.
Analytics will no longer record new views from that link.
Other links and versions of the same story are not affected.
Set an expiry date for a single link
Open your story and click Share.
Choose Create new version.
Turn on Expiry date.
Pick the desired date and confirm.
Click Create to generate the link and share it.
Notes
The expiry applies only to the link you are creating.
You cannot change the expiry date once the link is created. If needed, you can archive the version earlier or duplicate the version with a new link and set a new expiry date.
You can create additional links for different audiences with different expiry dates.
Set expiry dates when creating many links (Bulk Generate)
Open your story and click Share.
Select Bulk Generate (Create many links).
Upload your CSV or enter recipients.
In the link options, set an Expiry date.
If needed, set a different expiry date per link before generating.
Click Generate to create and copy your links.
How to “expire” a link immediately
If you need to make a link inaccessible before the scheduled expiry date:
In My Stories, hover over the story and click the More actions menu (three dots).
Select Versions.
Find the specific link or version you want to remove and click Archive.
If you want to remove all records of that version, click Delete after archiving.
Tip: You can also archive the entire story to unpublish all its live links at once.
FAQs
Do links expire by default?
No. Links remain accessible until you set an expiry date or unpublish them.
Does expiry affect other links or versions?
No. Expiry is per link. Other links or versions remain live unless they have their own expiry or are unpublished.
Can I change an expiry after creating the link?
No. Once set, an expiry date cannot be changed. You can archive the link earlier or duplicate the version and create a new link with a new expiry date.
