How to Download Your Storydoc as a PDF

You can export any Storydoc presentation into a static PDF file to share offline or keep for your records.

Steps to Export to PDF

  1. Open your story in the editor
    Go to the Storydoc you want to export.

  2. Click the Share button
    This is located in the top right corner of the editor.

  3. Select PDF export
    In the left-hand menu of the Share window, click PDF export.

  4. Choose your layout
    In the Layout dropdown, pick one of the available formats:

    • Multi slide – multiple slides per PDF page.

    • One-page – a continuous scrolling PDF.

    • A4/Letter – print-friendly page format.

  5. Select the slides to include
    Use the Select slides dropdown to include all slides or choose specific ones.

  6. (Optional) Adjust Advanced Settings
    Toggle any of the following:

    • High quality PDF – sharper images, larger file size.

    • Optimized for screen viewing – uses a 16:9 slide ratio.

    • Remove the QR code – hides the tracking QR code from the last page.
      Advanced settings availability may depend on your plan.

  7. Export your story
    Click Export your story. The PDF will start generating and download automatically once ready.


Additional Notes

  • Interactive elements (animations, embedded videos, links) will not function in a PDF, as it is a static format.

  • For the best offline experience, choose the layout and resolution based on your intended use (screen sharing vs printing).

  • If the download does not start automatically, click the download icon when it appears.
