You can control who can view your Storydocs by setting up password protection or access control. These options are available when creating a custom version of your link and are useful for sharing sensitive information or capturing viewer details.
Enabling Access Control (Pro Plan and above)
Access control requires viewers to fill in their details before opening your Storydoc. You decide which details to request and whether each one is mandatory or optional. The collected data will appear in your analytics dashboard.
Open your story and click Share.
Go to Custom version and click New version.
Toggle Access control on.
Customize the access screen:
Add a message for your viewers.
Choose which fields to include: Name, Email address, Position.
Decide for each field if it should be Required or Optional.
(Optional) Show your company logo.
Click Create version to generate your gated link.
Now, anyone opening this link will see your access screen and must fill in the required fields before viewing your story.
Enabling Password Protection (Team Plan)
Password protection ensures that only people with the password can open your story.
Open your story and click Share.
Go to Custom version and click New version.
Toggle Password protection on.
Enter the password you want to use.
Click Create version to generate your protected link.
Share this link along with the password with your audience. Without the password, they won’t be able to access the story.
