How to share on social media or embed your story

Use the Share panel to post your Storydoc directly to social networks

Share your story on social media

  1. In the editor, click Share.

  2. Click the Copy link dropdown to reveal all sharing options.

From the dropdown menu, you can access multiple sharing options:

  • Copy live link - Share a direct link to your story

  • Copy email preview - Copy an email-ready link with a preview

  • Copy test link - Preview the version with no analytics tracking

Below the link options, you'll see social media sharing buttons. Click any network icon to open its post composer:

  • WhatsApp

  • LinkedIn

  • Facebook

  • X (formerly Twitter)

The story link is prefilled when you click any social network icon. Add your text and publish from the network window.

Embed your story

To embed your story on a website:

  1. In the Share dialog, click the Copy embed code button.

  2. Paste the iframe code into your website's HTML.

Optional: update the link preview image

  1. In the Share panel, click Change preview above the story card.

  2. Upload or select an image and save. Platforms that support link previews will use this image.

Tips

  • If the preview on a network looks outdated, allow some time for cache to refresh or use that network's link debugger to re-scrape the URL.

  • Use the Copy test link option to preview your story without affecting analytics tracking.

  • The Copy email preview option includes a GIF or image preview that's perfect for email campaigns.
