You can pull images from a public website or extract visuals from a PDF or PPT file directly into My Files. This helps you centralize brand assets and reuse them across stories.

Extract from a website

  1. In the editor, click Add media.

  2. Go to My Files and select From Website.

  3. Paste a public URL and click Import.

  4. Review the copyright notice and click Accept and continue if you have rights to use the content.

  5. When the import finishes, a new folder named after the website appears with all fetched images.

  6. Click any image to insert it into your slide, or keep it stored for later use.

Extract from a PDF or PPT

  1. In Add media, go to My Files and choose From PPT/PDF.

  2. Click Upload file and select your document.

  3. While the file is processing, you will see placeholder tiles with progress bars for each detected asset. You can stay on this screen while the images are extracted.

  4. When extraction completes, the images appear in a folder named after your file under From PPT/PDF.

  5. Select any extracted image to insert it into your story.

Notes

  • Very large or complex PDFs may take longer to process and some embedded assets may not be extractable. If needed, export the images from your source tool and upload them directly.

Where to find your imported files

  • Open My Files and select the From Website tab to see domain-based folders created by imports.

  • PDF and PPT imports appear under From PPT/PDF in their own folders.

Tips and best practices

  • Make sure you have the right to use any media you import from external sources.

  • Keep performance in mind. Prefer optimized images and moderate-size files.

  • After import, rename folders and files to keep your library clean and searchable.
