How to Add Clickable Tabs

Clickable tabs in Storydoc let you organize related content into sections, so your readers can switch between topics without endless scrolling.

Option 1: Add Tabs as a New Slide

  1. In the left panel, click + Add Slide.

  2. Search for Tabs in the slide library.

  3. Choose how you want to insert the slide:

    • With placeholders → insert an empty tab layout.

    • With AI → enter a prompt and StoryBrain will build both the text and images for your tabs.

Option 2: Add Tabs as a Content Block

  1. Open the slide where you want tabs.

  2. From the right-hand menu, click + Add content block.

  3. Select Tabs from the list.

Option 3: Change an Existing Layout to Tabs

  1. Select the slide you want to modify.

  2. In the top toolbar, click Layout.

  3. Choose Tabs from the available layouts.

Customize Tabs

  1. Edit titles and content

    • Click a tab title to rename it.

    • Add text, images, or other elements in each tab’s content area.

    • Use + Add tab to insert more, or the trash icon to remove.

  2. Adjust tab style

    • Click Style to switch between tabs with icons or without icons.

    • Pick from multiple design presets (rounded, underline, filled).

  3. Control layout

    • Set the number of tabs per row (auto or custom).

    • Toggle icons on or off.

  4. Add animation

    • Open the Animation menu.

    • Choose autoplay, loop, and adjust speed (slow, medium, fast).

Tips

  • Keep tab names short for clarity.

  • Use tabs for comparisons, categories, or feature breakdowns.

  • Combine with icons for visual guidance.

  • Spread content across tabs to avoid clutter.
