Connect HubSpot to Storydoc
In Storydoc, open Integrations from the left sidebar.
At the top, select Connect CRM.
Find HubSpot and click + Connect.
Complete the HubSpot authorization flow and confirm access.
Use HubSpot variables inside the Storydoc editor
Use this when you want content in your deck to automatically pull from HubSpot (for example, company name, close date, annual revenue).
Open a Storydoc in the editor.
Select the text element you want to personalize.
Click Variables in the top toolbar.
Select HubSpot variables.
Choose the Type you want to map:
Contact
Company
Deal
Choose a Token (property) from the list.
Insert the token into your content.
Create a personalized version using HubSpot records
Use this when you want to generate a personalized version for a specific HubSpot record.
In the editor, click Share.
Open Personalized versions.
Click + Create version.
In the Version title field, search for and select a HubSpot record:
Contact
Deal
Company
Review the mapped variables and click Create a version.
Generate a Storydoc from a HubSpot record (inside HubSpot)
Once the integration is connected, you can create a Storydoc directly from HubSpot records (contacts, deals, and companies).
In HubSpot, open the record you want to personalize (for example, a contact).
Add the Storydoc card to the record sidebar:
In the Storydoc card, click Create a version.
Select the Storydoc template you want to use.
Complete the version creation in the Storydoc window.
Find the Storydoc links in HubSpot
After you create a version from a record, Storydoc saves the links in two places so you can access them quickly or reuse them for automation.
Option 1: Find links in the Storydoc card
Open the HubSpot record where you created the version.
In the Storydoc card, copy or open:
Storydoc link (the share link)
Storydoc editor link (the editing link)
Option 2: Find links in record properties
HubSpot also stores the same links as record properties, so they can be used in workflows, sequences, and other HubSpot automations.
Open the HubSpot record.
In the left panel, scroll to the record properties.
Look for:
Storydoc link
Storydoc editor link
Use Storydoc links in HubSpot workflows and sequences
Because Storydoc link and Storydoc editor link are saved as HubSpot properties, you can insert them into automation steps.
Examples:
Add the Storydoc link as a personalization token in sales emails or sequences.
Copy the Storydoc link into tasks so reps always send the right version.
Use the properties in workflows to route follow-ups based on whether a link exists on the record.
