How to Export Your Story as PDF

Export your Storydoc presentations as PDF files with customizable layout and quality options for offline sharing and printing.

Written by Jack

Storydoc allows you to export your interactive presentations as PDF files, making it easy to share your content in a static format when needed. While PDFs don't support interactive elements, they're perfect for offline viewing, printing, or sharing with stakeholders who prefer traditional document formats.

How to Export Your Story as PDF

To download your story as a PDF, navigate to the story you want to export and follow these steps:

  1. Open the story you want to export in the editor

  2. Click the Share button in the top right corner of your story editor

  3. Select the Export to PDF tab in the sharing modal

You'll see an information notice reminding you that interactive content and videos won't work in a static PDF. To use all of Storydoc's features, you can always use the share option instead.

Best Practices for PDF Export

  • Use the High quality PDF option for presentations that will be printed or viewed at high resolution

  • Choose Multi slide layout for presentations that need to maintain slide-by-slide structure

  • Select One page layout for documents that work better as continuous content

  • Remove the QR code if you're sharing the PDF externally and don't need tracking

Remember that interactive elements, videos, and animations will not function in the PDF version. For the full interactive experience, share your live Storydoc link instead.
