Adding a new slide to your story is quick and flexible. You can start with a blank slide and type right away, pick a layout from the editor, or browse the full slides library for more options. Here's how it works.
Click the New Slide button
In the editor, find the + New slide button in the top-left corner of the slide panel. Click it to instantly add a new blank slide to your story.
The new slide will appear in the slide panel on the left, and you'll be taken directly to it in the editor.
Add a title and text
Once your new slide is created, you can immediately start typing. Click the title field at the top of the slide and enter your slide title. You can also click the paragraph area below to add body text.
The title field supports up to 700 characters, and you'll see a live character count as you type. You can also use the Use AI button to generate or rewrite your content automatically.
Choose a layout
Below the slide canvas, you'll see a Get started with layouts section showing several layout options. Click any layout thumbnail to apply it to your slide — this will add placeholder content sections like columns, images, and subtitles to help you structure your slide faster.
Each layout is a clean, structured starting point. Simply replace the placeholder text and images with your own content.
Access more slides from the library
For more options, click the dropdown arrow next to the + New slide button. This opens the full slides library with several categories to explore.
The library is organized into four sections:
My slides — slides you've previously saved for reuse
Team slides — slides shared across your team
Layouts — clean, minimalistic slide structures
Templates — more advanced design slides with placeholder content, ideal for specific use cases
Select any option from the library to insert it into your story. The slide will be added after your current slide and can be moved or edited freely.
Tips
You can add as many slides as you need — there's no limit.
Use Team slides to maintain consistency across your team's presentations.
If you want a completely empty starting point, choose Blank slide from the dropdown menu.
