Team Slides is a shared library where your team saves the most useful and reusable slides. Instead of starting from scratch, you can pick and combine those slides to instantly build a new, on-brand story.
Step 1: Go to the Slides Library
From your Storydoc dashboard, look for the Libraries section in the left-hand navigation menu. Click on Slides to open the Slides library.
Step 2: Navigate to Team Slides
The Slides library opens with a Saved slides view. In the left panel, you'll see two categories: My slides and Team slides. Click on Team slides to see all the slides your team has saved and made available.
Team Slides contains pre-approved, on-brand slides curated by your team — perfect for proposals, decks, and presentations you need to put together quickly.
Step 3: Select Your Slides
Browse the available slides and click on any slide you want to include in your new story. A checkbox will appear on each slide, and selected slides will show a purple checkmark. You can select as many slides as you need.
As you select slides, a bar appears at the bottom of the screen showing how many slides you've selected so far.
Step 4: Click "Create Story"
Once you've selected all the slides you need, click the + Create story button in the bottom bar. This will take you to the story setup screen.
Step 5: Name Your Story and Choose a Folder
A New story dialog will appear. Enter a name for your story in the Name field — for example, "Proposal for Storydoc." Then use the Folder dropdown to choose where the story will be saved.
When you're ready, click Create story to generate your new story.
Your Story Is Ready!
Storydoc will open the new story in the editor, with all your selected slides already in place. You'll see them listed in the slide panel on the left, ready for you to edit and customize.
From here, you can continue to add more slides — either from Team Slides or by creating new ones. Just click + New slide on the top left corner of the editor screen or ADD SLIDE at the bottom of the slide panel to keep building.
Tips
You can select slides in any order — they'll be added to your story in the sequence you selected them.
Team Slides are managed by your team admins. If you don't see a slide you need, ask your admin to add it to the library.
After creating your story, you can reorder, delete, or add more slides at any time in the editor.
