Storydoc presentations automatically adapt to the screen your reader is using. But sometimes you want a slide to look a little different — or completely different — on desktop versus mobile. This article shows you how to create device-specific slides and control exactly which version your readers see on each device.

Rather than having one set of slide settings for both devices, Storydoc lets you show or hide individual slides depending on whether the reader is on desktop or mobile. The trick is to duplicate a slide, customize each version separately, and then assign each version to its target device.

This gives you full creative control — you can adjust layouts, image crops, font sizes, or content to make sure every reader gets the best possible experience on their device.

Before making changes, it's a good idea to check how your presentation currently looks on both devices. To do this:

Once you've identified a slide that needs a different layout for desktop or mobile, duplicate it so you have two versions to work with.

You'll now have two identical slides. Edit each one to suit its target device — for example, adjusting the layout, image size, or text for mobile.
